Parties
We host amazing and unique birthday parties! The feedback we keep getting tells us they are a hit with kids (young and old alike!).
Your child and their friends spend 2 hours in our Medieval Dungeon, taking in the spectacle of weapons along the walls and learning how to fight for stage and screen. The kids will learn how to swing a sword like a knight, shoot arrows or throw an axe! All in a SAFE environment being taught by industry professionals (but being safe doesn't mean we don’t know how to have fun!).
PARTY FORMAT
We offer 2x 40-minute activities, from a choice of four below:
- Archery
- Axe Throwing
- Weapons Training - Sword Fighting
- Conditioning for Stunts / Unarmed Combat
We recommend a 40-minute break in the middle for you to do the party food and cake. BYO food and drinks OR alternatively we can provide "Authentic" Medieval Pizza and soft drinks.
There is also plenty of time for the kids to dress up and make some photo memories!
COST
$414 for an amazing, unique and memorable two-hour party for up to 10 kids (additional kids $40 per person for 2 hours). Shorter and longer options are available just ask us to tailor to match your needs!
Date/time changes can be made up to 2 weeks before the booking. Any changes within a week of booking date may incur an admin fee. Please note while we can offer credits, we do not provide refunds.
WEAPONS
TRAINING
Our industry professionals will teach the kids different dramatic sword combat techniques, learning how to use steel weapons and plastic film weapons while learning choreography from movies and theatre shows. They will learn how to wield a sword like a professional, perfect if they are considering a career in acting in the future!
ARCHERY
A fun session in “historical archery” focusing on traditional Medieval shooting, where the kids will learn the principles of “instinct” archery. They will learn how to nock, draw and loose, shooting arrows at targets. With our highly skilled and trained teachers they will be hitting their targets in no time!

Your kids will learn more about the physical skills such as rolls and falls, using the mats and parkour principles - essentially how they can use their body in ways to safely undertake stunts and fight scenes.

Harness their inner Viking! At the Axe Range they will throw axes at our specially designed targets. NZSSCS was the first company to teach axe throwing in New Zealand and with our team of specially trained instructors they will be throwing an axe like a Viking in no time! This is all about fun and learning the ancient skill of launching the axe.
